Review our projections
Each year we will update your lifetime cash flow forecasts to ensure your plans are on track and we will review our assumptions for inflation and investment growth and make any necessary adjustments. Financial markets and products change constantly, so it’s important that your plans are updated to take account of those changes so that you stay on course to meet your goals.
Review your circumstances
If your circumstances have changed, your plan will need to change.
- Are there any new additions to the family, children (or grandchildren) that need to be factored in to your plan?
- Are you changing your job or planning to retire? If you are retired, are you planning to go back to work?
- Do you want to move house or take more (or fewer) holidays?
- Our personal needs and circumstances alter constantly and our financial plans need to reflect those changes.
Review the budget
Was there any surplus or was there a deficit in your overall income last year? If a surplus; could that be used to bolster an existing arrangement or to start a new one? Do some current arrangements need adapting to accommodate a temporary shortfall in income?
Review the economics
What was the rate of inflation when we originally drew up your plan? How high is it now? How high or low will it be in 12 months time? Should your plan be changed to reflect current or future inflationary or deflationary pressures?
Have the tax rules been changed and should the plan be adapted to take advantage of those changes?
